Solving Public Sector Employment Costs

There is only one way to solve the United Kingdom’s overly expensive public sector employment costs. I suggested this three years ago in three separate letters to David Cameron.

Take the top five layers of employment of every local authority and central government agency including Quangos and halve their salaries.

Most of these organisations are run by middle management in any event who will suffer no detriment but perhaps gain the responsibility that they deserve and seek. As the four layers under the top man are linked to his remuneration anyway, most of them are being overpaid because that top post is overpaid thanks to the recruiting agencies that oversee the hiring and circulation of these so called high flyers. They are a Club and it wants disbanding.
